Local Teacher, Jean-Jacques Altouvas, Receives Teaching Award

J.J. Altouvas receives a plaque and is recognized at the Sylvester, Ga Worth County Board of Education monthly meeting.

Jean-Jacques Altouvas was selected by his peers as Worth County High School Teacher of the Year for 2012-2013 school year. He accepted his award from school Superintendent Dr. Barbara Thomas of Woth County Schools.

Jean-Jacques Altouvas, originally from Cannes, France, graduated form the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelors degree in International Business and Spanish. Mr. Altouvas is a world traveler, musician, and passionate Spanish teacher who loves to teach Spanish even though his origin is France. He reports that his proudest achievement is becoming a U.S. citizen this year.
